Well, I have to say, I am quite pleased to receive an award for my work on Call On CRM. This product has been my baby for the last 2 years and I'm happy to receive some recognition for all the hard work that went into making this product what it is... "Companies displaying vision, leadership and attention to detail were selected by the editors of Customer Interaction Solutions to receive the prestigious award."
Software development is never easy. There are so many details you have to pay attention to and so many pieces that have to come together to makes things work the way you wanted them to. After any development project, you learn so much in doing it you wish you could start over and do it again, not because you did a bad job, but because your perspective always changes as you learn new things throughout a project. This product is by far the best piece of software I have ever written. I have been a software engineer for over 15 years, I've worked on a variety of different projects. This project pulled from many different skillsets I'v picked up along the way. My background in CRM and teles-services, as well as my skills in real-time communication systems all came to bear to bring this project to fruition. It's the best software I've written because the tools have matured, my skills have increased and the way the software is written internally make it very adapatble, easy to support and easy to enhance.
I'm going to be putting together some videos soon on how to use the software, how to install, and some basic walkthroughs of various features. It's hard to share with people the power of the software and show them what it can do sometimes because of the requirements to get itup and running. I wish the phone system was easier to "test-drive", or as easy to sign-up for as Skype's service is for example. Maybe the industry will get better at that as we go.
